Thibodaux Main Street, Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit corporation dedicated to the revitalization & promotion of Historic Downtown Thibodaux. We aim to strengthen our community through historic-preservation based economic development, small business support, cultural events, & economic & financial tools & incentives to catalyze property development & investment in downtown. We are a designated Louisiana Main Street community & a 2023 Main Street America® Accredited Program.

From the Executive Director
On behalf of the Board of Directors and our Downtown Thibodaux businesses and residents, I’d like to welcome you to Thibodaux Main Street, Inc. Our focus is to promote and revitalize Historic Downtown Thibodaux…but what does that mean for you? I often hear people say “remember when?” when talking about Downtown Thibodaux. “Remember when we use to spend all day shopping on Main Street?” My grandfather loved to reminisce about watching old westerns at The Grand Theatre…then waiting out back hoping to meet the cowboys he’d just seen on the big screen. So many people have such fond memories of what Downtown Thibodaux “use to be”. While times have changed and some of those historic gems are no longer standing, Main Street has the ability to be what most people once remember; maybe something even better. We want to make Downtown Thibodaux a newer version of what “use to be”.
I encourage you to come out and explore Downtown Thibodaux on foot: visit a shop you’ve never been to, consider one of our restaurants for your next celebration, or simply admire the beauty of our historical buildings. There are so many treasures to be found if you just take the time to look. Send us your feedback, let us know what you want your downtown to be.
Downtown Thibodaux is the heart of our City, the roots of the community we know and love today, and as such, should be nurtured. I hope that you’ll join us as we work to preserve her historic beauty while maintaining significance in today’s fast-paced world. I look forward to the future of Thibodaux Main Street and my role in helping to transform Downtown Thibodaux. It may take some time but good things come to those who wait!
