A Visual Strategic Plan to help shape the future of Downtown Thibodaux
Thibodaux Main Street has hired a team of nationally-recognized professionals to conduct a three-day planning exercise called a “Downtown Roadmap.” This exercise will occur on Monday-Wednesday, June 30th – July 2nd, 2025. The results of the Downtown Roadmap will serve as a visual strategic plan for downtown for the near future. All the Downtown Roadmap planning work –featuring highly visual plans, renderings, and graphic design collateral– will be done on-the-spot with input from Thibodaux citizens, elected officials, and downtown stakeholders.
The Future of Downtown Thibodaux is Now!
From Monday-Wednesday, June 30th – July 2nd, a team of professionals who have been hired by the Thibodaux Main Street will conduct a 3-day “Downtown Roadmap” that will serve as a visual strategic plan for downtown for the near future. All the planning work –featuring highly visual plans, renderings, and graphic design collateral– will be done on-the-spot with input from you. You will not have to wait for weeks or months to see your plan, it will be done right before your eyes! Best of all, you get to have a say in what goes into the plan at a Town Hall input meeting. After the Town Hall meeting, the design team will study our downtown economy, our branding and marketing, and our physical environment to make all sorts of recommendations and designs that will improve on what makes downtown Thibodaux great.
What will result from the Downtown Roadmap?
We will be given a plan that represents a roadmap to guide the future of our downtown. This plan will address our downtown market and how we can retain and recruit the ideal business mix for downtown. The plan will address how we can communicate better so citizens are aware of all the exciting things in store for Thibodaux and visitors are aware of all we have to offer. The plan will show how we can make our downtown look better and offer ideas on how to improve how our downtown functions. Finally, the plan will also provide clear action steps and implementation responsibilities as well as potential ways to fund the recommended projects.
