Our 2023 Christmas ornament features the Riviere Building – today, Caillouet Land, LLC!
The Henry Riviere & Co. Building was constructed in 1900 as a general merchandise store & later became Leon Blocks, Jakes Department Store, & then the New Post Ltd. from 1987-2012, owned by the Baudoin’s.
The building was listed in the National Register of Historic Places on March 5, 1986 & after extensive restoration work, was dedicated as the home of Caillouet Land, LLC on October 25, 2018.
Since 2006, Thibodaux Main Street has featured a different downtown building as our annual Christmas ornament. Ornaments from each year may be purchased at the Thibodaux Main Street Office year-round for $15.00 each via cash, check made payable to Thibodaux Main Street, or PayPal invoice. The current year’s ornament can also be purchased from The Bead Hive in Downtown Thibodaux & the Thibodaux Chamber of Commerce.
